Solio Magnesium rugged solar charger

The Solio Magnesium is a solar charger designed to endure harsh environments, thanks to its sturdy metal casing and powerful internal battery. You'll be hard pushed to find a power socket halfway up a mountain, but if you've got one of these you can still keep your gadgets topped up.

Sit it out in the sun and it'll charge itself up, ready for when you need power. Alternatively you can also top it from the USB port on your PC if you want to give it a quick boost before you set off on your travels. When it's fully topped up you should be able to recharge an average mobile phone three times.

It comes with a range of interchangeable tips, so whether you want to power a mobile phone, PDA, MP3 player or GPS receiver chances are there's a compatible plug available.
