Gear4 StreetParty Blu

If you're prone to throwing impromptu parties, or just want a sleek wireless speaker system to playback some tunes, then take a look at Gear4's StreetParty Blu.

It's a portable speaker system that supports Bluetooth so you can stream music to it from devices such as mobile phones without having to mess around with wires.

It runs off regular AA batteries, so you don't have to worry about finding a power source nearby and can stream music from devices up to 10m away. It's only 24mm thin, but is still capable of pumping out a respectable 8W of power from its stereo speakers. It also features a line in port, so you can plug in non-Bluetooth devices like an iPod and it has a fold out stand to keep it upright.

Revo Blik RadioStation

If you're a fan of radio but can't decide whether to go for DAB or WiFi internet radio then Revo has made things simpler for you by creating a hybrid tuner that lets you listen to both.

The Blik RadioStation provides access to DAB stations, those broadcast via the internet and also traditional FM transmission all in one box. It also supports the newer DAB+ standard, so it's future proofed too.

If you find that amount of choice is overwhelming, it can also playback tunes from your iPod or stream tracks from you PC so you can listen to some of your favourite music. It also features an alarm clock and remote control and is available in either black or white.

Venturer SHD7001

If you're getting a shiny new high definition telly for Christmas and are looking for things to plug into it, then you may be interested in Venturer's bargain SHD7001 HD DVD player.

Although the exact price is being kept under wraps until launch, it's expected to sell for less than £200 and probably nearer the £150 mark. It supports both 1080i and 720p HD output, but not the highest quality 1080p standard.

You also don't need to worry about not having anything to play on it as it comes with two HD DVD movies - Hulk and Troy - plus a voucher to claim an additional five discs from the European HD DVD Promotional Group. Venturer has even included an HDMI cable, so you've got everything you need in the box.

Samsung SPF-83V

Samsung has teamed up with Microsoft to create a web enabled digital photo frame, making it simple to display pictures from an online photo gallery or from your home PC.

The SPF-83V has an 8in, 800 x 480 TFT display and a built in 802.11b/g WiFi adapter so it can connect to the internet via your home wireless broadband connection. The frame works with Microsoft's Windows Live Photo Gallery service so you can simply upload photos or albums from your desktop PC to Windows Live Spaces and the images will be displayed on the frame. It will also work with other photo sharing sites that support RSS feeds.

It has 64MB of onboard memory for storing pics and features a built in card reader for SD/MMC/MS/xD/CF memory card formats.

Trendnet TV-IP312W

Whether you want to keep an eye on your office or home while you're away - or just your drinks cabinet while you're out - the Trendnet TV-IP312W can be your eyes and ears when you're not around.

It can stream a clear MPEG4 video of what's in front of it over your broadband connection, so you can keep an eye on things wherever you've got an internet connection - it can even stream images to a 3G mobile phone.

Brother HL-2100 series

If you've been thinking about splashing out on a laser printer, but are put off by their high prices compared to cheap inkjets then take a look at Brother's new HL-2100 range.

Promising print speeds up to 22ppm (pages per minute), with the first page in your hands in under 10 seconds, the performance is impressive. And with prices starting at just £89.99 for the entry level HL-2140 model it's affordable too. An extra £30 gets you a network port on the HL-2150N while the top of the range HL-2170W adds wireless networking for £149.99.

The design does away with the traditional boxy look, using sleek curves instead and despite its small footprint the internal paper tray can hold up to 250 sheets. It also features a straight paper path feed, so it's suitable for printing on envelopes, labels and card.

RM Mobile One

If you're cursed with butter fingers - or are just fed up with having to fix the results of other people's mishaps - then you may be interested in RM's Mobile One laptop, which is designed to be able to take a knock or two and carry on going.

The rubber bumper to help protect against bumps and it's so effective it meets military drop test standards. It also features reinforced ports, a hard 15.4in LCD screen and splash resistant keyboard, so no matter what you throw at it (or indeed it at) it'll keep on going.

The machine is available in a range of configurations, from an Intel Celeron 530 processor, 512MB RAM and a 40GB hard drive up to a Core 2 Duo T7250 chip, 2GB RAM and a 120GB disk, depending on your needs.
